LG has officially released the Optimus 2x Smartphone Tegra 2 with Android as system operation. The Optimus 2x will arrive in korea on january 2011 and then countries in Europe and Asia to follow. Optimus 2x smartphone is the first smartphone that utilized by tegra 2 system on chip and also come as first smartphone that use Dual Core Cortex A9 CPU running at 1GHz. With these power the handset can handle many features of new graphics and video functions.

Last month, images and details of LG Star with Tegra 2 and running Android 2.2 Froyo had surfaced. Now, the same phone has been teased all over by LG Korea as Optimus 2X. LG may brand this smartphone as Optimus Star or something similar. For the time being, we’ll refer it as Optimus 2X since it sports dual-core Nvidia Tegra 250 System-on-Chip. For now, LG Optimus 2X is the world’s first smartphone to run Tegra 2 chip and looks like a worthy competitor to Samsung Galaxy S.

New LG Optimus 2X joins the Optimus 7 with Windows Phone 7, Optimus ONE with Android 2.2 and Optimus GT540. As reported earlier, LG Optimus 2X will have a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen offering 480×800 pixel screen resolution.

The Optimus 2X also comes with 8GB internal storage, it supports microSD card up to 32GB, supports 1080p HD video playback and recording, there is also the option to connect the device to your HDTV to view your captured videos and images.
