HTC the most innovative company in this world want to be the first mobile phone company to feature a full 3D screen on an Android devices. Even though HTC showed off some 3D models at mobile congress earlier this year they were focus to demonstrate HTC smartphone chips.

According to 3Dradar, HTC has previously demonstrated 3D mobiles at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona back in February of this year, primarily to show the prowess of its mobile chips. Next year’s event could see a finished 3D phone in display, with ‘insiders’ claiming a 3D Android superphone will hit the shelves before the end of 2011.

Whether that will be accompanied by any 3D mobile content isn’t clear. Like 3D TVs, the hardware will always suffer if the content isn’t readily available – especially if there’s a premium price to pay. There’s been no official announcement as yet, but HTC has recently been advertising for a ‘display and camera design engineer’, that has ‘familiary with 3D display and imaging technologies’ and with ‘multiple display technologies (TFT-LCD, PMOLED, AMOLED, E-ink, etc).’ So you suspect plans are certainly afoot.

Anyway, unlike the predictions of other pundits that HTC would be the first company to offer an Android device, one should also put into consideration the Samsung SCH-W960 and Motorola MT820 – both 3D Phones which didn’t get any proper attention towards the media.
