Spokesperson from Gigabyte communication reported that they have prepared to release Google Dual SIM smartphone named Gigabyte Gsmart Rola. THe company has lot of experience in the smartphone business and has good relationship and collaboration with Microsoft.
Feature.
The Gigabyte Gsmart Rola has two slots for SIM cards and also has ability to operate simultaneously on two networks. Moreover the model’s also not only support for GSM network but also UMTS/HSDPA. The company already has a mobile devices name GSmart S1205 with such feature. However, the old smartphone runs on WIndows Mobile 6.5 but the new one will be developed under Android 2.2 platform.
Gigabyte Gsmart Rola has 3.2 inch sensitive touch screen with 240×400 pixels, it’s halso has 256 MB RAM and 512 MB of internal memory. Gigabyte Gsmart Rola has a slot for MocroSD flash card, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, GPS. electronic compass and 3MP camera and FM tuner.
The Android based smartphone is expected to be released at beginning of 2011 in “select regions”. Gigabyte Gsmart Rola will be purchasable for around EUR 175 (about $230) without subscription, which is $50 cheaper than the Optimus One.
