Facebook use facial recognition technology

Today facebook come with more attractive feature, beside tagging photo, now people can use face detection and tag people in the photo on the fly. Currently, when users want to make friends tagging photos on Facebook, they must first identify the faces in the photos. Only then clicking on the face in question and choose their name from a list that appears.
Now, reportedly with the new system, face recognition software can detect faces exist in images, making it easier for users to mark. Quoted from the Telegraph, Tuesday (07/06/2010), in his official blog, Facebook states that it uses face-detection software together with software that is often used by most digital cameras. It says Product Manager for Photos on Facebook, with the latest features that make tagging photos on Facebook will be faster.
