Google has released the new Android SDK called Android 3.0 Honeycomb SDK. The platform now offers every developers to develop apps for the new android tablets that are hit the market with the API’s being deemed final and able to withstand new apps that will target the fresh platform.

Google has made the Android 3.0 SDK kit available to developers, more than 3 weeks after shipping a rough preview version to give developers a taste of the honeycomb. The APIs are final which means developers can write apps for the platform and publish them to Google’s Android Market store for free or sale.Unlike previous iterations of Android developed for powering smartphones, the Honeycomb build is specifically for helping developers write apps for the larger screen size form factor of tablets.

SDK Tools (r10) and ADT Plugin for Eclipse (10.0.0). Key features include:

  • UI Builder improvements in the ADT Plugin:
    1. New Palette with categories and rendering previews. (details)
    2. More accurate rendering of layouts to more faithfully reflect how the layout will look on devices, including rendering status and title bars to more accurately reflect screen space actually available to applications.
