Apple has acknowledged the iPhone 4 has several disadvantages. It’s not about performance of the antenna, but the improvement of the Apple’s software promised completed in a few weeks.
As quoted from the Telegraph, Apple has officially acknowledged the problem on the iPhone 4 signal reception, claimed that the problem was related to the number of bars displayed on the handset, not on the receipt itself.
This software fixes will be done in a few weeks. “We were surprised to read reports about problems receiving, and we immediately began investigating,” said Apple’s party in a statement.
The company claims they were ‘stunned’ when he found it. “The formula we use to calculate how to display the signal strength bars, totally wrong. The formula we, as an example, one showing two bars to something that actually stronger signal.”
Apple did not explain further why the iPhone 4 in some cases showing decreased signal reception despite previous shows at normal levels.
Apple said the software updates will be done by the network AT & T. The company claims the actual signal strength remains the same, but the iPhone will display a different bar.
These updates will be provided free of charge and can be used for 3GS iPhone and iPhone 3G, Apple mobile phone that has the same deficiencies.
