The mobile manufacturing giant NOKIA was dormant for some time now. The market has not seen the launch of any new NOKIA mobile phones. NOKIA was busy in solving the issues of their N97 model. Now, ending the long wait, NOKIA has announced the soon to be release of new NOKIA 6700 slide. The 6700 slide is a budget level 3G phone and is doing fairly well.
NOKIA is concentrating on the looks and features of the new 6700 slide phone. It is available in six colors with aluminum body. The other details of the design remain the same as the classic 6700s. The new NOKIA 6700 slide provides the dimension of 95.2 x 46.1 x 15.9 mm and weigh 110 grams. Thickness is always an issue with sliding phones but the new 6700s are going to change that.
On the technical front, the mobile comes equipped with a little 2.2 inch screen. It has 240 x 320 pixels and color display capacity of 16 million. The TFT screen is comfortable to read text and watch videos. The most critical part of the mobile is the battery. NOKIA has equipped its new 6700 mobiles with a light weight but powerful battery. The fully charged 860 mAh Lithium ion battery supports the mobile for 300 hours in 2G mode and 250 hours in the 3G mode. For the music enthusiast, there is good news; the battery supports a mind boggling 29 hours of support for continuous music playing.
Nokia 6700 Slide was to be released in the earlier parts of 2010, and it is already available in the market since April 2010. It can be predicted that NOKIA is waiting for the holiday season to begin. The colourful sliding phone with all the new features is sure to add zing in the time to come.
